Jeannette Keukelaar – counsellor and author

Jeannette Keukelaar is a professional counsellor and published author, offering a range of counselling services in Whangarei, Northland.

As well as her extensive experience in counselling drawing from a wide cross-section of counselling techniques Jeannette has undertaken additional training in two specialist areas of counselling:

Imago Relationship Counselling and Psychosynthesis.

Based out of her home practice, The Centre for Self Empowerment, Jeannette works mainly with couples or individuals who are experiencing difficulties in their lives or relationships, feeling anxious, depressed or ‘stuck’ or simply finding communication with others difficult.

Different Worlds, published in 2014, is Jeannette Keukelaar’s debut novel: a story centred on the experiences of a Dutch immigrant family struggling to make a new life in New Zealand in the 1950s. Her next novel is due for release in early 2018.

Group workshop series for couples starts 21 September

Advanced Imago Relationship Therapist Jeannette Keukelaar is offering a weekly 6-part workshop series in communication for couples in Whangarei. The weekly workshops start on Thursday 21 September 2017 and cover a range of communication and validation techniques to help achieve a deeper level of intimacy and communication between partners.
